Dr. Alberto Mezzatesta Joins Knowledge Reservoir
to Run Production Solutions Division
HOUSTON, May 15, 2006 --- Dr. Ivor Ellul, CEO of Knowledge Reservoir, today announced that Dr. Alberto Mezzatesta has joined the Knowledge Reservoir Houston office as Director, Production Solutions. This Division is responsible for the worldwide delivery of solutions in the areas of reservoir optimization and production enhancement applications.
“Dr. Mezzatesta is joining our management team at a time of rapid growth in the company and, particularly, in the production solutions arena. His expertise and significant experience coupled with his industry reputation are expected to progress our ability to deliver solutions to our clients to a new level”, said Dr. Ellul.
Dr. Mezzatesta joins the company after a 22 year career with Baker Hughes/Baker Atlas where he most recently served as Chief Reservoir Engineer and Research Manager within the Product Development Group, Houston. Prior to joining Baker Hughes, Dr. Mezzatesta was Numerical Reservoir Simulation Group Leader for YPF-Argentina in Buenos Aires, and earlier, a reservoir simulation expert for INLAB also in Buenos Aires and a professor of mathematics and petroleum engineering at several Argentine universities.
Alberto received a Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering from the University of Houston and has dedicated much of his time over the years to supporting technical societies including SPE, SPWLA and SEG. He has published a large number of technical articles on topics including formation evaluation, petrophysics and reservoir simulation.
