Knowledge Reservoir Releases Version 2.5 of the Gulf of Mexico Deepwater Reservoir Performance Knowledge Base

HOUSTON, February 7, 2007 --- Knowledge Reservoir has released Version 2.5 of Reservoir KB, the web-based deepwater reservoir performance knowledge base for the Gulf of Mexico.

This major release is utilized by key oil companies and their partners operating in the Gulf of Mexico and worldwide. Clients cite both business productivity gains and process improvements resulting from using the knowledge base in their exploration and appraisal work. Reservoir engineers and geoscientists are accessing a unique, continually updated knowledge base containing reservoir performance indicators, metrics, analogs, lessons learned and regional knowledge. Key analogs are applicable globally and clients have extended their usage accordingly.

The Gulf of Mexico module provides coverage of all of the deepwater reservoirs currently either in production or sanctioned for development. The current release contains detailed analysis of 63 mature fields containing 314 reservoirs and 353 wells. Additional data for 50 new fields now on production are also included.

Dr. Ivor R. Ellul, CEO of Knowledge Reservoir, commented “Knowledge delivery in the form of the Reservoir KB knowledge base has been demonstrated to offer significant value to our client base. In these resource-constrained times, combining all the data with our analyses lessens our clients’ data management load and improves the time required for decision making.”
