Shale Plays Experience

Sr. Explorationist - KRSP900

Senior explorationist assigned to evaluate Haynesville/Bossier and Eagle Ford shale plays for acquisition analysis. Also assigned to evaluate Western and Geco 3D grid for the transition zone and deep-gas play in Cameron and Vermillion, La., where he made two discoveries. At Kings Bayou, was assigned to evaluate SEI 3D grid for the transition zone in Brazos and Mustang Island, T.X. Conducted prospect generation using AVO technology. Key level professional with 25 years experience in the generation of oil and gas ventures. Extensive knowledge of Texas and Louisiana Gulf Coast, South Texas, and interior salt basins of East Texas and Louisiana.

Geoscientists

Geologist - KRGL503

Registered professional geologist in Texas with bachelor’s and master’s degrees in petroleum geology and a M.B.A. in management and finance. Candidate has 30 years of energy industry experience in exploration and development, working both conventional carbonate and clastic depositional systems, as well as unconventional coalbed methane (CBM) and oil shale resources. With six years experience in oil and gas property evaluation and negotiation, candidate was part of a team that acquired over $250 million of assets and divested over $400 million of assets. Experience with Permian Basin, Gulf Coast, Rocky Mountains, California, and North Sea geology. Completed strategy studies that coupled risk assessment with company performance metrics to high-grade field development. Software experience includes Petra, GeoGraphix, and Landmark. Equally adept at technical analysis and geoscience project advisory.

Geophysicist - KRGP600

Over 28 years of industry experience with a bachelor’s degree in geology and physics and a master’s degree in CIS. A proven oil and gas finder and an experienced seismic inversion specialist, processing QC and matching seismic to wells. Experience includes major oil and gas company experience in the Permian Basin, North Sea, Trinidad, and Egypt. Basins worked include Fort Worth (Barnett Shale), Greater Green River, Williston (Bakken Shale), Arkoma (Woodford and Fayetteville Shales), Sichuan Basin (China), and Chaco (Bolivia). Other experience includes designing, building, and maintaining databases and software used to track and optimize oil and gas production. Software experience includes Kingdom Suite SMT, Hampson-Russell STRATA, AVO, GeoView, Paradigm GoCAD, and Transform.

Geoscience Technician – KRGT701

Senior technician holds a bachelor’s degree in geology and has over 20 years experience prospecting, developing, and evaluating oil and gas properties in the Permian Basin. Directed exploration and development efforts for numerous independent oil companies and coordinated and supervised geophysical field activities, acreage leasing, and drilling and completion activities throughout the process. Candidate is significantly knowledgeable in regional geology, including shelf/platform, and deep-water carbonate depositional environments.

Engineering

Reservoir Engineer - KRR200

Reservoir Engineer with bachelor’s and master’s degrees in petroleum engineering has over 12 years domestic and international experience.  Candidate has served as both a project manager and reservoir engineer on waterflood, CO2, and WAG flood projects.  His areas of expertise include the design, monitoring, surveillance, and characterization of secondary and tertiary recovery projects.  He has conducted reservoir simulation of CBM reserves in the San Juan Basin and performed workover candidate selection, look-back analysis, and well interventions.  His software skills include OFM, PEEP, ECLIPSE, Saphir, MS Excel, MS Access, MS Word, MS PowerPoint, MS FrontPage, Grapher, Surfer, Didger, and programming in Visual Basic and Fortran languages.

Facilities Engineer - KRFE400

Senior Facilities Engineer with a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering and 33 years of demonstrated experience in oilfield facility engineering and construction, oilfield operations, supervision, project development, project management, facility and pipeline design, rotating equipment/reliability engineering, and plant operations.  This experience has been both domestic and international with a variety of oil and gas producing fields/facilities and cogeneration plants.

Completions Engineer - KRC500

Petroleum engineer with 12 years U.S. and overseas experience as a field, operations, and technical engineer. Knowledgeable in completions and remedial interventions of diverse oil and gas formations in California, Utah, New Mexico, and Texas. He has extensive knowledge in production enhancement and formation damage removal including fracturing stimulation operations, matrix acidizing, as well as primary and remedial cementing operations. He is experienced with completions in conventional and non-conventional reservoirs, and vertical and horizontal wells. His software skills include various Schlumberger cementing and stimulation applications.

Production Engineer - KRPE100

Petroleum engineer with 27 years experience within fields with marginal well operations, extensive experience managing CO2 floods, and has performed pattern and well surveillance for CO2 floods in fields with over 100 patterns and active wells in excess of 500.  Experienced in the design of CO2 injection pilot projects, specifically within the Levelland (San Andres) Field, including supervision of multidiscipline teams of contractors involved with workovers, flow measurements, injection profiles, data gathering and analysis, and economics of field implementation of application.  Team leader/coordinator for large CO2 flood within Mobil Oil’s Slaughter Field.

Engineering Technician - KRET602

Senior Technician with over 34 years in the Permian Basin oil and gas industry. Expertise as an engineering tech, a production tech, and a geotech. Extensive experience building database for well histories and downhole operations. Adept at gathering and interpreting historic well information and creating/updating wellbore schematics. Worked closely with Texas Railroad Commission and engineering staff to bring hundreds of well injection permits into compliance. Software skills include OFM, MS Office, Production Analyst, PIDwights, Harvard Graphics, and Universal Access Manager.
